How It All Began
...Dexter!

After returning home from surgery, Dexter was slowly getting back to his old self; unfortunately he was still required to wear his e-collar. I know it is important for them to wear these in order to help heal the wound without him scratching and bumping into things but to see the hassle he was going through just trying to eat was even starting to get to me.

My brain starts to kick into high gear to figure out how I could make this time for him as easy as possible.  The first thing that came to me as Dexter pushed his bowl around trying to eat was to elevate his bowl so that he could get his mouth into the bowl without the e-collar hitting the floor or anything else.

I decided to mount his bowl up to the right height for him and secure it to the wall. At first this worked out great, until I began bumping into it and also needed to clean it.  Having to unscrew it from the wall each time he was finished was not going to make this process easier...at least for me.  So again the brain kicked into high gear and voila.... the creation of the simple locking device, now known as the Piranha Lox®.  This would allow me to mount it to the wall and easily place his bowl securely against the wall while he ate and then I would be able to remove it when he was finished, saving my shins from more bumps and bruises.  Not to mention screwing and unscrewing into the wall.  Needless to say, I knew I was not the only one going through this and decided to expand Dexter’s bowl into a complete line of products capable of being securely mounted to just about any surface, crate, or post.
